Our School Opening Times
Schools should publish on their website their opening and closing times and the total time this amounts to in a typical week (for example 32.5 hours).
The compulsory times for our school is from 8.55am until 3.25pm each day.
Classroom doors will be open from 8.45am to allow for a staggered entry to school.
The total compulsory time for Staining Primary School is open in a typical week is, 32 hours and 30 minutes. This time runs from the official start of the school day (morning registration) to the official end of the compulsory school day. It includes breaks, but not optional before or after school activities.
The Department of Education has stated that from September 2023 schools will need to be completeing at least 32.5 opening hours per week. We are seeking consultation with governors, staff, parents and pupils of the school to increase the beginning of the school day session time to reflect an 8.55am start. This will be in place for the September 2023 deadline.
